New Listening

Recently I have been craving thought.  Real thought.  Reading, and listening and...something that causes my mushy brain to think.  I can only say this must be in answer to my prayer for wisdom.  I was hoping I would get infused with knowledge as Solomon did, but instead God put a yearn for intelligent thought on my heart.

Part of this yearning will be fulfilled through a couple of book studies I am doing this year, namely The Fathers Know Best, and the Kimberly Hahn study of the woman from Proverbs 31.

Tonight though, my husband is at a Knights meeting, the kids are in bed, and I can think of nothing better to do than work on my towel embroidery and listen to a podcast.  But I'm tired of the ones I usually listen to.  They are generally good, but I wanted something with more meat.  So I did some searching and these are the new (to me) ones I've downloaded onto my iPod...

Catholic: Under the Hood (it is supposed to have things about Church history on it)
iPadre Catholic Podcast
and...
The Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle

If that last one doesn't tickle my brain, it probably means my head has exploded from all the information I'm forcing on it.

*I will be getting back to the story of our vacation soon.  It really bothers me that I left it in the spot I did.  So.  Soon, I promise.

Hope you plan to post pictures of your embroidery project when it is complete! I'd love to see it!

Podcasts are great...also see if your library online has audio books. Mine does, and I've been listening to C S Lewis and others.

Ohhh! Great suggestion Michelle, I didn't even think of that. I'm checking as soon as I'm done typing this. :)
