I know, I know you are saying "What are you doing blogging right now, when you have a house guest?" Well, DH and my BIL have gone to a auto swap meet across the city. They won't be back until lunch, Fritter is taking a nap, and I am still in my PJ's (we went to mass last night in case you were concerned :) ) thoroughly enjoying my morning. Before they get home, I will tidy up the house of course and get dressed, but for now I am talking to you, dear friends.
Yesterday, we drove up north and spent the day. Since we just moved here in June, we haven't really explored our area very much. It is SO pretty! If you ever have a chance to go to Sedona, I highly recommend it. It is a little town set up in the mountains, with gorgeous rock formations all around it. The town itself, while a little touristy, has very cute (trinket) shops, and so much to do, and buy, that you could spend a whole weekend there and not get bored! They also have fall colors all the way up into the mountains. Gorgeous yellows, reds, and oranges. I didn't take any pictures though, sorry. :(
This was not our actual destination, however, so we continued on. We spent the rest of the day checking out the town my BIL is thinking of moving to. We went to a couple of parks, and a fall festival that had pony rides! Fritter didn't really ride this horse, but it is a cute picture, huh?
Fritter did very well for only taking two small naps about 1/2 hour apiece. We went to dinner at a place called Black Bart's Steakhouse. All of the servers sing and dance while you eat. They sang this song which was very cool. They were all college students, but not necessarily drama or music majors. Our waitress was a biology major, with a lovely voice.
The ride home was quite long, but Fritter slept the whole way, so conversation was nice. I should be going, I will fill you in on more of our weekend maybe tomorrow. Have a blessed Sunday!
