Yesterday was a busy day. I had a ton of cleaning to catch up on. I made my own tea drawer, organized the kitchen drawers, cleaned out the silverware caddy thingy, scrubbed bathtubs and showers, and did some laundry on top of my everyday cleaning.
Then, Fritter and I went to Once Upon a Child to look for Halloween costumes. I found a couple of really cute ones: a duckie, 2 pumpkins, a really cute purple dinosaur, and a green dragon. True to my nature, I could not decide, so I called DH at work (I can really be a silly person) and told him what I had found. He chose the green dragon one, so that's what we got. For $7.01. Really. I'll take pictures on Halloween with him in it, but for now here is a teaser...
Yesterday was Fritter's first day of all big people food! We have finally made the transition, and I think it went well. Wow, can he eat. This is his new menu, basically...
Breakfast: Bowl of Quaker Oatmeal made with whole milk with some fruit mixed in (I'm using up the rest of my baby food and then it will be applesauce) and a YoBaby yogurt
Lunch: One hot dog cut up in small pieces or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich cut up really small, peas (or some other veggie), cottage cheese
Dinner: A portion of whatever we are having and then some fruit (canned pears or oranges), and finish off with some rice cereal
I was a little nervous about the whole peanut butter thing, but he is almost a year old anyway, and there are not any history of food allergies in any of our families. I watched him pretty closely though, and am still keeping an eye on him, but I think that we are in the clear. When did he get to be so big?
